Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 1, 2026
Last updated: November 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Callboardjobs LLC, a Minnesota limited liability company ("Callboard," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use our website at https://www.callboardjobs.com and related services (the "Service").
Callboard is a job board. Job seekers use it to find and apply for jobs. Employers and recruiters use it to post jobs and review applicants. This policy applies to both groups. The Service is intended for users in the United States.
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us
- Job applications ("Easy apply"). When you apply for a job, we collect your name, email address, and your answers to the employer's screening questions. You do not need an account to apply.
- Account information. If you create an account or sign in, we collect your email address. If you sign in with Google or X (Twitter), we receive basic profile information that you authorize those services to share with us, such as your name, email address, and account identifier.
- Saved jobs. If you save jobs, we keep a record of the jobs you saved.
- Employer and recruiter information. When you post a job or use our hiring or recruiter tools, we collect your name, email address, company name, job listing content, screening questions, and any other information you submit.
- Billing information. When you purchase a paid plan, we collect information needed to bill you, such as your name, email address, company name, and plan selection. Payment card and bank details are entered directly with our payment processors (Stripe and PayPal); we do not receive or store your full card number.
- Contact form and email. When you contact us through our form, we collect your name, email address, topic, and message. If you email us, we collect your email address and the contents of your message.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Service, we and our service providers may automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring pages, and the date and time of your visit. This information comes from server logs and cookies or similar technologies (see Section 5).
2. How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- Operate the Service, including displaying job listings, processing applications, and saving jobs;
- Deliver your application to the employer you applied to;
- Create and manage accounts and authenticate sign-ins;
- Let employers post listings, set screening questions, and review applicants;
- Process payments, subscriptions, and invoices;
- Respond to questions, support requests, and feedback;
- Send service-related messages, such as application confirmations, receipts, and account notices;
- Protect the Service, prevent fraud, scams, and abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service;
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the Service; and
- Comply with legal obligations.
Emails we send
- Transactional emails. We send emails needed to provide the Service, such as application confirmations, sign-in links, receipts, invoices, and account or security notices. These are not marketing, and you will receive them as long as you use the Service.
- Marketing emails and job alerts. We may send you marketing emails (for example, news about Callboard or offers for employer plans) and job alerts, but only with your consent or as otherwise permitted by law. Every marketing email and job alert includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by using that link or emailing hello@callboardjobs.com. Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional emails.
No sale of data and no targeted advertising
Callboard does not sell personal information. We do not use advertising tracking pixels, and we do not share personal information for targeted advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell or rent our user or applicant lists to data brokers or advertisers.
3. How We Share Information
With employers you apply to
When you apply for a job, your application information (your name, email address, and screening question answers) is shared with the employer or recruiter that posted the job. That employer will use your information under its own privacy practices, which we do not control. Please review an employer's practices before applying if you have concerns.
With service providers
We share information with service providers who help us run the Service, only as needed for them to perform services for us. These include:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Vercel | Website hosting and infrastructure |
| Stripe | Card payments, subscriptions, and invoices |
| PayPal | Payments |
| Sign-in with Google (authentication) | |
| X (Twitter) | Sign-in with X (authentication) |
| Wix | Domain name registration |
| Email delivery and analytics service providers we may use | Sending email and understanding website usage |
Stripe and PayPal process payment information under their own privacy policies.
Other sharing
We may also share information:
- For legal reasons, if we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, subpoena, or court order, or is needed to protect the rights, property, or safety of Callboard, our users, or others;
- In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case your information may transfer to the successor; and
- With your consent or at your direction.
4. Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide the Service, meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Specifically:
- Applications: 24 months after submission, unless deleted sooner at your request or the employer's request.
- Accounts and saved jobs: while your account is active, and deleted within 90 days after you ask us to delete your account.
- Job listings: 24 months after the listing expires.
- Billing records: 7 years, as needed for tax and accounting purposes.
- Contact form messages and support emails: 24 months.
- Server logs: 90 days.
Note that employers who receive your application may keep it under their own retention practices.
5. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, secure the Service, and understand how the Service is used. Types of cookies we use:
- Essential cookies, required for sign-in, security, and core functionality;
- Preference cookies, which remember settings such as saved jobs; and
- Analytics cookies, if used, which help us understand how the Service is used (through analytics service providers we may use).
We do not use advertising or tracking pixels, and we do not use cookies to target advertising to you on other websites.
Our sign-in and payment providers (Google, X, Stripe, PayPal) may set their own cookies when you use their features. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, but some features, such as signing in, may not work without them. Global Privacy Control (GPC): we honor GPC signals. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for that browser and any account associated with it. Because we do not sell or share personal information, no further action is needed on your part.
6. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access / know – request what personal information we have about you and how we use and share it;
- Correction – ask us to correct inaccurate information;
- Deletion – ask us to delete your personal information;
- Portability – receive a copy of your information in a usable format;
- Opt out – opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising, or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects (Callboard does not sell personal information, engage in targeted advertising, or conduct such profiling, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals); and
- Non-discrimination – we will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
California residents
If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, "CCPA"), gives you the rights listed above. In the past 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information: identifiers (such as name, email address, IP address, and sign-in account identifiers); professional or employment-related information (such as screening question answers); commercial information (such as plans purchased); internet or other electronic activity information (such as pages viewed); and any other information you choose to give us in messages. We collect this information from you, your devices, and our sign-in providers, for the purposes described in Section 2, and we disclose it to the categories of recipients described in Section 3. We do not sell or share personal information, as those terms are defined by the CCPA, and have not done so in the past 12 months. Because we do not sell or share personal information, we do not offer a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link; we nevertheless honor Global Privacy Control signals as described in Section 5. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16. We do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that would require offering a right to limit its use. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf; we may ask for proof of authorization.
Residents of other states
Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws (including, for example, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, and Minnesota) may have similar rights, including the rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of their personal information. Callboard does not sell personal information, process it for targeted advertising, or use it for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects, so no opt-out is required for those activities. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or emailing us with the subject line "Privacy Appeal." We will respond to appeals within the time required by law, and if you are not satisfied, you may contact your state attorney general.
How to make a request
Email hello@callboardjobs.com with the subject line "Privacy Request." We will need to verify your identity, usually by confirming control of the email address associated with your information. We will respond within the time required by applicable law (generally 45 days).
If you applied to a job, please note that we can delete the copy held by Callboard, but you will need to contact the employer directly about any copy it has received.
7. Children
The Service is not intended for anyone under 16 years of age. Children under 16 are not permitted to use the Service, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us with personal information, contact us at hello@callboardjobs.com and we will delete it.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and reliance on established providers for hosting, sign-in, and payments. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your sign-in credentials confidential and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
9. Third-Party Links and Services
The Service may link to employer websites or other third-party sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Your use of Google, X, Stripe, or PayPal is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Service or by email before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
